Extra Credit Opportunity - Amorino or L'Albero dei Gelati

Ciao!

The Slow Food Movement, which originated in Italy in 1986, has spread across the world. "Slow food" is food that uses real, healthy ingredients. It is basically the exact opposite of "fast food."
Italians take their food seriously and are known for emphasizing the importance of food quality.

The following two gelaterie use the best local ingredients to make their gelati.

AMORINO - Get a gelato here and receive three extra points towards a test. If you get a cone, which will have your gelato presented in the design of a fiore (flower), you will get five points extra credit total.

Amorino Locations

Closest location to LaGuardia:
Amorino, 414 Amsterdam Avenue, 10024, New York (between 79th & 80th Streets)

The flower cone at Amorino

If you live in Brooklyn, you also have the option to go to L'Albero dei Gelati.
Address: 341 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11215 (Park Slope)
Past flavors have included pesto, lettuce, and olive oil...but they have "regular flavors" (like my favorite....cioccolato...too!)

Please send a picture of yourself eating your delicious gelato to my email, alaricchia@schools.nyc.gov OR print out a receipt and hand it in to me with your name on it.

This is due by Monday, December 3, 2018. Please bring your receipt to class (with your name on it) or send a picture of yourself with your gelato on or before this date. I will not accept any late submissions. If you do not receive a response from me, I never received your submission. Do not follow up with me three months later regarding if you received extra credit.

Enjoy!
